HOUSE RULES APPLIED.
Game Setup
How to start a matchDeal the Cards
Shuffle the standard 54-card deck (including 2 Jokers). Deal exactly 4 cards to each player, face down.
The Draw Pile
Place the remaining deck face down in the center of the table. This becomes the stock pile players will pick from.
The Starting Card
Flip the top card of the Draw Pile to start the Discard Pile. If it is a Power Card (J, K, Q, 8, 2, 3, Ace, Joker), bury it and flip a new one until a normal card appears.
Begin Play
The player immediately to the left of the dealer takes the first turn. Play continues in a clockwise direction until reversed by a King.

Endgame Protocols
Declaring the finishNiko Kadi
Announce on your prior turn if your remaining hand can be played in full on your next turn, ending legally on an Answer Card (4–10 or Ace).
Kadi by Picking
Occurs strictly when a player dumps their hand on an illegal finishing card (King, Jack, Ace, or Penalty). You hold zero cards and must draw on your next turn.
Live Referee
Can a 3 counter a 2 attack?
Yes, you can cross-rank defense penalties! A 2 can be answered by a 3 (or vice versa), but ONLY if the suit matches (e.g., 3♠ on 2♠). Same-rank counters (2 on 2) can be any suit.
Interactive Scenarios
Playing a single King or Jack ends your turn immediately. You can only keep the turn if you execute a double Kickback (K → K) or multiple Jumps that bring play directly back to you—and only if opponents do not counter!
